Writing Papers in a Foreign Language

Introduction

In order to write a paper in a foreign language you will need to learn a couple of things beyond what it takes to write a paper in English. Here you will learn about:

Using accented letters and other special characters
At this page you will learn how to type accented letters and other foreign language symbols at the LRC computers; as well as how to set up your own computer to do it.

Reference materials
At this page you will learn how to access reference materials, such as dictionaries and encyclopedias, both on the Web and at the LRC.

Word processing
At this page you will learn how to write a paper at the LRC using Microsoft Word 2000 and the tools it has, such as templates, spell checkers, and so on.
