Canchanchara

Esta es una bebida que probamos en Trinidad el lunes, 13 de marzo. El lugar era bastante mágico, un patio a la sombra de enredaderas. Había un hombre tocando los bongos y turistas europeos a su alrededor.

Pedimos la receta de esta famosa bebida y nos la dieron. Hela aquí:

  • Jugo de limón, 1/2 oz.
  • Aguardiente 1 1/2 oz.
  • Miel de abeja, 1 cucharadita
  • Hielo, 2 trozos
  • Agua natural

This is a drink that we tried in Trinidad on Monday, March 13. The location was quite magical, a patio shaded by vines. There was a man playing the bongos and several European tourists sitting around him.

We asked for the recipe for this drink and it was given to us. Here it is:

  • Lemon juice, 1/2 oz.
  • Aguardiente 1 1/2 oz.
  • Honey, 1 little spoonful
  • Ice, 2 pieces
  • Water
Frijoles Negros / Black Beans

Se hierven los frijoles con agua solamente hasta que se ablanden.

Se prepara aparte un sofrito con ají, cebolla, ajo machacado con orégano y comino, una hoja de laurel. Se sofríe todo y cuando esté mustio, se le añade sal, azúcar y vinagre.

Al sofrito se le agrega un poco de frijoles y se aplastan, y cuando estén aplastados, se une a la cazuela con frijoles, se echa agua y aceite de oliva y se deja por unos 20 minutos hirviendo.
